Who: John Horsman, UK sales and events manager for Miller Harris. We had a very enjoyable afternoon with John when he guided us through the company’s fragrance profile service and Miller Harris is one of our favourite fragrance brands.
Today I’m wearing a combination of two of our fragrances, I’m wearing the light, fresh touch of Lumière Dorée and balancing that with the deep intense La Fumée Intense.
For me, fragrance is really fashion’s finishing touch. so I choose my fragrance every day based on my mood, the weather, what I’m doing that day, who I want to be or who I need to be that day.
I tend to take a ‘more is more’ approach with fragrance, I’m not a subtle wall flower when it comes to applying, I spray liberally on pulse points around the neck, down the arms, and then I’ll lightly spritz the air and walk under it so my clothes have a fragrance as well. If I’m at work and I’m surrounded by product, I’ll reapply during the day.
I’ve always been a lover of fragrance and always had many different ones on the go. For me, fragrance will finish off and elevate my mood. so if I have a long day ahead of my I’ll wear a vibrant citrus to keep me awake, whereas if I’m out in the evening, I’ll wear something deeper, darker and sensual.
The point of fragrance for me is to finish off who you want to be. I feel naked without it.
